Forward Head Posture (FHP)
How do we realign the spine so that the head is bought back into a more normal position?
With the use of head weighting and mirror image adjustments. The amount of weight and their placement depend upon the amount of spinal displacement that needs to be correct
How the weights work
Wearing the weight alters the center of gravity causing the righting reflexes to send spine correcting sensory input to the central nervous system. To balance the body to the weights, the nervous system causes some involved spinal muscles to relax and others to contract, thereby repositioning and correcting the spine and posture relative to gravity. Additionally, the weights make the involved muscles do isometric exercise, needed to restore strength, endurance and balance.
How mirror image adjustments work
The patient is placed in the mirror image or reflection of their posture and adjustments are performed to bring the spine back towards a more normal alignment.
